Case

The number of cases differs between languages: 

  1. Persian has two; modern English has three but for pronouns only; 
  2. Arabic has three; 
  3. GermanIcelandicModern Greek, and Irish have four; 
  4. Romanian and Ancient Greek have five; 
  5. BengaliLatinRussianSlovakSlovenian, and Turkish each have at least six;
  6.  ArmenianBosnianCroatianCzechGeorgianLatvianLithuanianPolishSerbian and Ukrainian have seven; 
  7. Sanskrit and Tamil have eight; 
  8. Assamese has 10; 
  9. Estonian has 14; 
  10. Finnish has 15; 
  11. Hungarian has 18 and 
  12. Tsez has 64 cases.
